HARRY CONNICK, JR. - My New Orleans Tour
Harry Connick, Jr.’s career has been studded with awards and recognition, including several multi-platinum and gold albums, Grammy, Tony and Emmy awards, Cable Ace, Golden Globe and Oscar nominations, and much more. A true American icon, there are few artists of Harry’s stature. In support of his two new album releases, Oh, My Nola and Chanson du Vieux Carré, Harry will be touring with his Big Band.
Bright Eyes - made up of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott spent much of 2006 in the studio working on their follow-up to the acclaimed simultaneous releases Digital Ash in a Digital Urn and I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning. The new album, Four Winds, is full of the magic that brought Bright Eyes to international attention. Don't miss their only area performance on Thursday May 24th!
Since their first American tour in 2000, the Ballroom and Latin dance show "Burn the Floor" has performed to sold out houses in103 cities around the world. Now they are back with their brand new show, Burn the Floor presents FloorPlay. The Company of 18 of the Worlds best dancers perform a brand new collage of dance styles including swing, tango, rhumba, salsa, cha cha and waltz. The London Independent called it "breathtaking" and with the whole world seemingly dance crazy the timing for this show could not be better!
CELTIC WOMAN features 5 beautiful performers: 4 gifted vocalists – Chloë, Lisa, Orla and Meav -- and Máiréad, a brilliant fiddler. The group has made a tremendous impression on US audiences, quickly selling out shows at major venues such as Carnegie Hall over the past year. CELTIC WOMAN ushers Celtic music into the 21st century, putting a distinctively Gaelic twist on ethereal contemporary songs (Enya’s “Orinoco Flow,” “May It Be,” the theme from “Lord of the Rings”) and timeless classics (“Ave Maria,” “Somewhere”), a modern flair on traditional Irish songs (“She Moved Thru’ the Fair”), and their own personal stamp on spellbinding original songs (“The Voice,” “Send Me A Song”), all with exciting new arrangements.
“CELTIC WOMAN IS A PHENOMENON!” – Boston Globe
