DownTown Crossing Down Town Boston, MA

Downtown Crossing is a shopping district in Boston,
Massachusetts, located due south of the Boston Common and
west of the Finacial District. It features large department stores, restaurants, music
stores, souvenirs, general retail, and many street vendors. During the
day, Downtown Crossing bustles with activity.
The Downtown Crossing subway station serves Downtown
Crossing.
A local a cappella group/vocal band has named themselves after Downtown
Crossing.

Downtown Crossing Station of the MBTA,
located at the corner of Washington Street and Summer Street and the
corner of Chauncey Street and Summer Street in Boston, is
the main transfer point between the Orange Line
and the Red Line. It
is named after Downtown
Crossing, the shopping area above the station. It had formerly been
known as Washington on the Red Line and Summer and Winter or Washington
Under on the Orange Line, for the streets above ground.
