Newbury Street Galleries
The high-end gallery and shopping district is close to many historical sites in Boston. Originally underwater, Newbury Street was created in the 1860s. Now it's a commercial street of galleries, restaurants, and beautiful storefronts.
South End Galleries, SoWa
Many galleries are now located on the south end of Washington Street in a former mill building district where pianos, canned goods, and other merchandise were made in the
19th century.
This is a new and trendy section of Boston that also houses artists'
studios, creative businesses, and chic restaurants.
Gallery exhibits change every month. Your tour will highlight the best painting,
sculpture, and photography shows in Boston. You will meet gallery staff, discuss trends, and critique what you see.
Tours will include about ten gallery visits and are led by professional artists and curators who exhibit nationally or teach at Boston-area institutions.
Most galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
