Boston Freedom Trail Boston Ma
For more than a century before the first act of revolution was undertaken in America's War for Independence, Bostonians embraced a strong
heritage of community and a culture of freedom that was remarkable among
colonial settlements. The sites here include places where townsfolk
assembled to proclaim their rights, drill their militias, bury their dead,
educate their young, govern their own church congregations, and protect
their property from British meddling. "The Revolution was effected before
the war commenced," observed John Adams. "The Revolution was in the minds
and hearts of the people."
